DIOCESE OF CASHEL & OSSORY

Your Word is a Lamp that gives Light wherever I walk

Welcome to our Diocesan Children's Blog!

This page is designed to be a collection point for all those things that you and other Sunday school teachers are looking for. Sunday School teachers and children's workers are always looking for new and exciting ways to reach our young people with the goal of creating children who are strong in their faith and secure in the knowedge of Jesus' love for them.

We all find wonderful ideas that work, at least from time to time and sharing those positive helpful hints offers others ideas and encouragement!

For the experienced...

Sunday school teachers are powerful people, being used by the Lord in the lives of children; also human so inclined to get discouraged and need support and a blast of new ideas to get the creativity going again.

For the totally new timer...

Teaching Sunday school is a challenge, especially if you've never done it before. Different age groups require different methods etc., but above all else, you want your lessons to be meaningful and interesting to the children you're working with - they should love to learn about the Lord and here you can ask for wisdom! Not only do you want to start teaching Sunday school successfully, you want to grow in your own faith and knowledge along with your students.

This is a great idea and I hope it will be supported from all over the diocese.
